naisaiku week 18

[ echoes of indian poetry - 11]

" ogo nodi aapon bege pagol para
aami stobdho champar toru,
gondho bhore , tondra haara " ~ tagore r. n.

' lost unto yourself
like mad you flow oh river
A STILLED TREE AM I
the ' champa ' whose fragrance flows
but has lost its sleep `~ tagore

/ naisaiku / translation / z.g.©

sometimes you wonder
how yesterday got devoured
THAT IS HOW LIFE IS
devouring all yesterdays
you wonder sometimes ..

So true, whatever happened to all our yesterdays? It certainly makes you wonder!

Thanks for posting this, you always give me much to contemplate!
